Frequently Asked Questions about Auto Transport in FL (FAQ)

How much advance notice is required for auto transport?

We will pick up your vehicle 1-3 days after all paperwork is finalized; to be safe, it’s advisable to schedule your order 5-7 days in advance of your preferred date.

Will my vehicle be insured and cared for during transport?

Absolutely. Each of our carriers is fully insured with a minimum of $750,000 in liability coverage. Each vehicle will be inspected by both the transport technician and the owner when it is picked up, as well as when it is delivered, giving each owner the opportunity to ensure that the vehicle wasn’t damaged during transport.

How fast can I get a quote to ship my car?

Typically, we can provide a quote within one business day. For a quote, call 800-201-1222 or email info@CCautotransport.com

What kind of auto transporter will move my vehicle?

We use a wide network of multiple-auto carriers; you’ve seen similar vehicles on the interstate transporting new autos to their dealers.

What types of payment are acceptable?

We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. In addition, we can accept payment by check, money order, certified check, and partial C.O.D.

What is the difference between an open and an enclosed carrier?

If you’ve seen a truck carrying cars to the dealership, you’ve seen an open carrier; these transporters come in a variety of sizes and capacities, from simple flatbed trucks to huge double-decker rigs. Although efficient, these transporters expose their cargo to potential damage from weather and road conditions. Owners wishing to protect their vehicles from potential damage may pay slightly more for enclosed carriers; which are especially recommended for custom or classic vehicles.

Do I have to be present when my vehicle is picked up and delivered?

Yes, to complete necessary paperwork. If you cannot be present, you may designate a proxy to sign off on the vehicle at both pickup and delivery.

Where will my vehicle be picked up and delivered?

We pick up and deliver as close as we possibly can to your home address. Infrequently, local ordinances or the size of a vehicle may prevent home pickup or delivery. When this occurs, we will meet at a convenient location, such as a mall or any other business with a large parking lot.

How long will it take to pick up and deliver my vehicle?

Obviously, all trips are dependent upon distance. In general, trips from the east coast to the west coast can require 7 to 14 days; shorter trips range from 1 to 7 days.  A variety of factors can potentially impact trip length: road congestion, environmental conditions, vehicle breakdowns, seasonal rushes, or other events may affect shipping schedules.  Both pickup and delivery dates are estimates; neither can be guaranteed. Customers in extremely rural or remote areas may choose to meet the transport truck in a more centralized, populated area to improve shipping speed and efficiency.
